Another Clanfight Ends With Victory
17 Jul, 2000 | Pibbz | Updated 21 Aug by ivc | No comments

BoA, ranked as one of the best teams in Norway, was defeated by X-Pec in yesterdays clanfight. X-Pec won with 21- 12 on de_dust, but the resistance was better than the results make it look like. We had some starting problems, after loosing the first round for the first time ever. But when our respective guns were in our hands, we started the asskicking, and won the CT round with 14-4. The Terrorist round was influenced by chaos and bad shooting in the X- Pec team, and we lost that round with 8-7. But we won totally with 21-12, and are now the second best CS Clan in Norway. Look for the table and results at www.clanbase.com

We Keep on Apologizing For Dead Links
17 Jul, 2000 | Pibbz | Updated 21 Aug by ivc | No comments

Well, Xoom is fucked up, and all our links that lead to our Xoom account are now dead. We're still looking for a place with approx. 80-100 MB of space to upload our stuff, until our own server will be running in the end of this year. The dead links will not be removed, but will appear to be dead until we change their URLs, which will happen when a new temporary server are found. If you know about a ftp or something, please ibbz@x-pec.com">let us know.

"The Salvation of Kerrigan" Alpha v0.97 Available
16 Jul, 2000 | Pibbz | Updated 21 Aug by ivc | No comments

This campaign is a Veteran level StarCraft BroodWar Terran campaign with 8 (out of 10) levels, created by Pibbz, PRO Entertainment... The campaigns goal is to save Kerrigan from her infestation and rehabilitate her into a terran ghost again. This isn't easy, you'll see after playing a few minutes of my campaign. Huge numbers of Zerg units is going to terrorize your defense without stopping. The whole story will be added with the final version of "The Rescue of Kerrigan", when it's being released in the run of 2000.

Diablo II Patch 1.02 Released
15 Jul, 2000 | Pibbz | Updated 21 Aug by ivc | No comments

The second patch for Diablo II has been released before we even had time to write something about the first one. Well, here it is, some great improvements are made.

Major bugs
- Fixed a bug that deleted your single player or open character if
you deleted a Realm character with the same name.
- Fixed several bugs to improve memory usage--those bugs could cause
the game to slow down after playing for a while.
- Fixed a bug associated with ejecting the Play CD.

Minor Bugs
- More consistent closing of dialog boxes and pop-up screens when
hitting Esc key.
- Fixed a bug to allow faster drawing of the auto-map.

Improvements
- Will auto-close some NPC menus when necessary.
- The automap can be toggled when a waypoint is active.
- Game log file names follow the format D2YearMonthDay.txt.

Game Hint/Spoiler
- Fixed a bug that caused the portal to the Valley of the Magi to
disappear if a player had completed the Arcane Sanctuary quest (by
killing the Summoner) but exited the game without taking the portal
and establishing the waypoint in the Valley of the Magi. (Act II).

Back In Action
15 Jul, 2000 | Pibbz | Updated 21 Aug by ivc | No comments

Well, I'm back in action after a week in slackmode... First, we had a LAN at Elemento & Toa's place from Monday to Friday. We played Quake III Arena a lot, along with Counter- Strike etc... Up there, I've got my hands on a new game called Deus Ex, when I've got home, my life was dedicated to that great game. The game is built on the Unreal engine, the story look a bit like Half-Life, the enviroment like Kingpin. The in game features also contains traces from Diablo, Total Annihilation and Monkey Island. The music rules, and the large and well build maps makes the game unbeatable. The story takes place in well known places like Liberty Island, Hong Kong, Paris, Area 51 etc... I'm proud to announce that this game is the very best single player game I've ever played. Check out some screenshots at our screenshot section.
